Club Rules
1. Hygiene and Cleanliness
Uniforms (Gi/No-Gi attire) must be clean and washed after every session.
Personal hygiene is mandatory: trimmed nails, clean hair, and body.
Shoes must be worn off the mats at all times to maintain cleanliness.
No training while sick. Inform staff of any contagious conditions including skin infections as well as other infectious diseases. You must not train if you have an infection, and you must wait until the infection clears completely before resuming training.
Use deodorant and avoid heavy fragrances.
Footwear (flip-flops or sliders) must be worn to and from the bathroom.
All jewellery must be removed, including any bracelets/watches which may cause injury or harm to other students. Jewellery that cannot be removed can be covered with tape at the instructors discretion.
2. Safety Rules
Make sure to tap to submissions do not risk injury
No slamming, neck cranks, or other dangerous techniques (unless specified for advanced levels and under supervision).
Respect training partners’ limits and safety.
Report any injuries or hazards to staff immediately.
No training under the influence of drugs or alcohol. You will be asked to leave immediately.
Students under 16 must not use fitness equipment without the supervision of an adult.
3. Etiquette and Conduct
Respect instructors, staff, and fellow students at all times.
Punctuality is encouraged. If arriving late, wait to be acknowledged before joining on the mat.
Line up according to rank at the start and end of class with belts tied.
Keep talking on the mat to a minimum during instruction.
4. Attendance and Communication
Inform Myriad if you'll be away for an extended period/wish to freeze your membership
Update the gym of any injuries or conditions that might affect training.
Parents must ensure their children are fit and ready to participate.
5. Membership and Fees
Notify staff of any issues with membership or billing.
Abide by any cancellation or freeze policy as outlined in the agreement.
6. Uniform and Equipment
Gi classes require a clean Gi. No-Gi classes require appropriate rash guards and shorts/spats.
No metal or hard plastic (zippers, buttons) on training gear.
Belts and uniforms must be tied and worn properly.
7. Guests and Visitors
Drop in and trial visitors must make an account with MAAT and sign into class before joining class
Drop in a trial visitors must sign the waiver and questionnaire before training.
Visitors must follow all gym rules and etiquette.
